On the Belgian News Search Refuseniks

Chris Boggs and co-host for an online radio show tonight asked my opinion, so I replied with one. Going on limited information, on balance I believe the Belgian court's judgment against Google has a "rather medieval" flavor to it.

Also - has no one heard of pursuing all available remedies, and/or settling out of court? There's something petulant about both sides' behavior here... but when you're the much bigger guy, the right word is "arrogant." The little guys (and the judge) appear to be the petulant ones.

I posted this as a lengthy comment over at Barry's Search Engine Roundtable. I'm looking forward to Eric Goldman's analysis of this case.
